SEAT's future digital museum will be cloud-shaped and internationally focussed
SEAT Marketing director and Archithon jury member Christian Stein emphasised that "the winning project is based on a cloud that can travel freely from one city to another. We think it's a very international concept that perfectly matches our brand values and explains the history of SEAT in a very original manner". The authors of the best three projects will receive a cash prize and the architects of the overall winning project will continue to work on it in further detail over the next few days. SEAT will implement the selected project and plans to have the digital museum up and running in September.
Patricia Loges, one of the winners, pointed out with her teammates that "this prize is our gateway to start working in what we love – architecture. It's great news that companies like SEAT are organising initiatives like this one and making a commitment to talented students. We can't wait to start developing our project and watch it become a reality in the next few months".
SEAT's future digital museum will summarise the company's history since its foundation in 1950 and provide an insight into its future direction. It will feature multipurpose spaces and a guided tour of the most representative models in its collection, as well as a gallery of the professionals who have helped make the company's progress possible.
